Singing and Sparkles

This weekend I’ve been lucky enough to go and see The Bodyguard in London at the Dominion Theatre. For those of you who don’t know me so well, theatre is one of my absolute favourite things and I love nothing more than a west end show!

My family and I went into London and first went to walk around Oxford Street to see all the amazing sparkly Christmas lights. It got more and more impressive as it started to get dark and the displays at John Lewis and House of Fraser were definitely something to see.

After all the Christmas shopping we’ve done recently we didn’t really have much we wanted to buy, so we went to have a drink before heading off to dinner. We actually managed to walk in the wrong direction on Oxford Street and then get the tube back to where we would of been had we walked a little further, but eventually we ended up where we wanted to be and with plenty of time to eat before the show started at 7.30pm.

The show was amazing and I actually couldn’t remember the story of The Bodyguard too well so it was brilliant to watch it unfold with all the songs mixed in. The singing is always my favourite part of going to see shows in the west end, it is always so inspiring and I could honestly watch it forever, especially Whitney Houston songs!

I had a really great day and it was a really fun festive treat for the weekend before Christmas!ย
